An open-pollinated version of Sungold, created and developed by Adaptive Seed. 'Santiam Sunrise' as sweet, as prolific and also more resistant to cracking then its hybrid parentage. Tall indeterminate vines are productive with less prone to splitting than Sungold yet the skin is still tender.
I personally have nothing against hybrid seeds, but if presented with two nearly identical varieties of the same quality and one is open-pollinated (you can save your own seed), I assure you that I am always going to choose the the open-pollinated variety. Why? Because it's a small step towards food sovereignty.
HISTORY: A deliberate cross with Sungold and Russian genetic material by Adaptive Seeds.
Sold in a 3.5" pot.
