A dwarf masterpiece from the Dwarf Tomato Project. Delivers the same smoky-rich, complex, world-class flavor as Cherokee Purple, but in a tidy, manageable package.
Stout, rugose-leaf plants top out around 4 feet with thick central stems that need only moderate support. Perfectly oblate 6–12 oz fruits ripen to a dusky purple-rose with dark mahogany shoulders—gorgeous slicers with outstanding on a plate. Inside, the flesh is deep crimson, marvelously balanced: intensely flavorful yet perfectly sweet-tart, meaty yet juicy.
All the magic of a big purple heirloom, none of the sprawling 8-foot vines. Ideal for small gardens, containers, or anyone who loves Cherokee Purple flavor without the jungle.
HISTORY: A Dwarf Tomato Project variety. It originated from a cross made by Patrina Nuske Small between Budai Torpe and Stump of the World, named Sleepy. Rosella Purple was selected from the Rosella Crimson material and named by Craig LeHoullier to reflect the distinct color.
Sold as one plant in a 3.5" pot.
