This medium-sized plant produces excellent yields of tapered, thin-walled fruits which grow up to 6" long by 1 to 1 1/2" wide banana shaped fruits (hence the name) which mature from greenish yellow to red, and are pleasantly mild. Its flavor is not very hot (0–500 Scoville units) and, as is the case with most peppers, its heat depends on the maturity of the pepper, with the ripest being sweeter than younger ones.
Very colorful and attractive as they ripen from light green to yellow to orange and finally to red. Very easy to grow and a flavorsome variety and a good choice for new chile growers.
Great fresh, pickled or cooked; perfect for pizza and subs.
Sold in a 2.62" wide x 3.5" deep pot.
