Classic , well-balanced flavor on extremely productive vines which are more drought and disease resistant than most. Fruits are variable in size and shape, averaging +/- 1/2lb with deep red skin over pink flesh.

HISTORY: This variety is a genuine southeast Michigan family heirloom. In spring 2016, two wonderful ladies who volunteered at the greenhouse brought me starts of this tomato and urged me to grow it because it had been a favorite in one gal's Aunt Marge garden for years. The only backstory they knew was that it came from Aunt Marge, whom had grown it season after season saying that Aunt Marge had passed away a few years earlier. Sadly, the volunteer whose aunt it was joined her a couple of years later. What we grow today is Aunt Marge’s living legacy—carefully passed along and now preserved here so her cherished tomato can keep feeding Michigan families for generations to come.

Reliable mid-sized slicer and for canning

My mother-in-laws favorite for an all-purpose tomato. Great for canning as well as slicing for that summer BLT! The plant doesn’t grow “crazy big” and has manners in the cage!
