Kellogg’s Breakfast is a legendary open-pollinated beefsteak tomato that produces large, glowing orange fruits, often weighing 1–2 pounds. The thin, delicate skin encases dense, meaty flesh with remarkably few seeds and a juicy interior that matches the vivid color of fresh-squeezed orange juice. Flavor is the star here: a near-perfect harmony of sweetness and bright, lively tang that has earned it top honors in countless taste tests.
Many growers claim it’s one of the very best orange tomatoes ever developed, and it’s especially prized for juicing—the juice is thick, brilliantly colored, and tastes like sunshine in a glass.
HISTORY: This variety traces its roots to Darrell Kellogg of Redford, Michigan, who developed the strain. In 1993, longtime Seed Savers Exchange member Bill Minkey of Darien, Wisconsin, received seed directly from Darrell and introduced it to the wider heirloom community, ensuring this extraordinary orange beefsteak would be preserved and enjoyed for generations.
Sold as a single plant in a 3.5" pot.
