Glossy, red elongated grape tomatoes dangle in generous clusters from compact, well-behaved vines that rarely exceed 6 ft. The plants branch heavily and are far happier in a sturdy cage than on a single stake. Flavor is bright, sweet, and pleasantly tangy, while the fruits cling to the vine for weeks without cracking or splitting—even through heat and irregular watering. Highly disease-resistant and impressively drought-tolerant, this is a low-fuss, high-yield cherry that keeps delivering all season long.
HISTORY: The original seeds trace back to a handful I bought in March 2013 from a roadside stand in Islamorada, Florida Keys. The vendor told me they came from a commercial farm in Homestead, so the original fruit was almost certainly a hybrid. After more than a decade of careful selection in my southeast Michigan garden, the line has stabilized into a distinct, open-pollinated variety perfectly adapted to our cool nights and variable summers.
Sold as a single plant in a 3.5" pot.
