Pods average 4 inches long by 1/2 an inch at the shoulders, but are quite variable. They are used extensively in Oriental cuisine. Thin walled slender pods mature from green to red.
Plants are 24 to 30 inches tall and very productive. This is a great variety for stringing and drying whole. Dried pods can be used as needed, or ground into a powder using a coffee bean grinder.
This variety was developed by the Asian Vegetable & Development Center, Taiwan.
