I dug the seed for this variety out of the "Breeder's Box" archives and I'm I so glad I did!
Vines produce absolute trusses of perfect 1–3 oz, bright orangey-tangerine, plum-shaped fruit all season long in my totally neglected 2024 garden. They started early, never slowed down, and kept pumping out fruit right up to frost. Flavor is excellent—bright, lively, and pleasantly tart/acidic rather than sugary sweet.
If you love tomato salads (especially Caprese), this is your dream tomato: the color pops against mozzarella and basil, and that zippy acidity is exactly what you want with olive oil and salt.
HISTORY: An intentional cross by the same breeder as Big Cheef, Bill Jeffers.
He stated: Original cross - Juane Flamme X Sun Gold. This particular selection closely resembles Jaune Flamme in size and color, with same red blush center. Productive vines.
Sold as one plant in a 3.5" pot.
