This is a sweet mild variety from the Caribbean. Discovered along with other Aji Cachucha types by grower Julio Lopez on the island of Puerto Rico. It is considered a cooking or seasoning pepper.
Fruits ripen from green to purple to red. The purple splotches all over making it look so beautiful as it goes through it’s ripening stages. The flavor is unique and sweet.
The Aji Cachucha Purple Splotched chile plants are very productive and grow between 3 to 4 feet tall. The peppers can get 2 inches in diameter and are big enough to stuff.
Sold in a 2.62" wide x 3.5" deep pot.
