Common Rosemary (Salvia rosmarinus) is the classic upright, evergreen culinary rosemary, forming dense, bushy shrubs 3–5 feet tall (sometimes taller in mild climates) with woody stems, narrow, needle-like, gray-green leaves, and small pale blue to white flowers in spring.

Intensely aromatic, its resinous, pine-like flavor defines Mediterranean roasts, breads, potatoes, and grilled meats. A traditional memory herb—“rosemary for remembrance”—modern studies confirm its compounds (rosmarinic acid, carnosic acid) support cognitive function, reduce inflammation, and offer strong antioxidant and antimicrobial effects. Research also points to potential benefits in blood-sugar control, cardiovascular health, and even natural insect repellency.

Hardy to zones 8–10 (protect or overwinter indoors in colder areas), it loves full sun, sharp drainage, and dryish conditions—perfect for hot, sunny borders or containers.

Sold in a 2.5" pot.
