Millefluer (French for “a thousand flowers”) is a stunning, compact indeterminate, open-pollinated tomato that lives up to its name by producing hundreds of small, translucent pale-yellow to golden cherry tomatoes on long, graceful trusses.
Each perfectly round fruit measures about ¾ inch (18–20 mm) in diameter and offers intense, very sweet flavor with a juicy, tender bite. Plants stay short and bushy, rarely exceeding 3–4 feet tall, yet develop numerous spreading branches that require a sturdy, fully encircling cage for support—even in the ground. Fruits hang on the vine for an unusually long time while retaining excellent taste and quality, with little tendency to drop or lose sweetness.
Millefluer is an outstanding container variety (5-gallon pot or larger) as long as a strong cage is provided, making it ideal for patios, balconies, or small-space gardens where its prolific, floral-like clusters create a spectacular golden display.
HISTORY: A centiflor vine tomato variety developed by Alan Kapuler of Peace Seeds, from a cross made by his daughter, Kusra.
Sold as a single plant in a 3.5" pot.
