Chocolate Reaper is a cross between Red Carolina Reaper and Chocolate Trinidad Moruga Scorpion.
With a very strong floral aroma, the fruity flavor is similar to the red variety but with a hint of a smoky taste upfront, shortly followed by the intense heat level after consumption. There’s a lot more flavor to the Chocolate Reaper than most extremely hot peppers as its smoky flavor is especially popular in meat dishes.
Plants will grow to around 4 feet tall, and you will see good yields of dark brown, 1.5 to 2 inch pods. Expect these peppers to have the same wrinkly skin and bumpy texture as Carolina Reaper. This is a new strain, so Chocolate Reaper peppers are still in the process of being fully stable.
Sold in a 2.62" wide x 3.5" deep pot.
