I LOVED THIS PEPPER! I could kick myself for not getting a photo when the peppers had fully matured to RED. Uggghhh!
Variable fruits can grow to be very long ( 7-12" or even longer) and are often curled at the tip. Early to mature and very prolific. Plants are compact and good candidates for containers. Called the "Cigarette Pepper", this heirloom hails from Bergamo, Italy, an area known for many great pepperoncini types.
Nearly seedless, except for near the stem, these make perfect snacks in the garden or in the kitchen. They are among the best of the 'frying pepper' being deliciously sweet.
