This truly amazing tomato is becoming highly sought after by 'in the know' gardeners around the world. Classified as a Green-When-Ripe (GWR) bi-color, each different flesh color comes together to create a powerhouse for the taste buds, that just cannot be found in 'single' colored tomatoes.

Green shoulders extend down to the middle of the fruits where the outside is then permeated by the interior red blush, enabling you to see when the fruits are ripe. Only by slicing this tomato can you fully appreciate its beauty though - lime green outer walls fall way to yellow meat with reddish-pink swirls in the center. Bold, tangy and sweet all in one mouthful. Fruits average between 8-16 ounces.

HISTORY: Millard Murdock, a North Carolina tomato aficionado and artisan breeder, found and stabilized this variety from an unintentional cross of Lucky Cross X  Unknown (probably dark) tomato which occurred in his garden in 2009. Through generations of selection for stabilization, three additional and equally exceptional varieties were produced - Black Magic (NC), Black Mamba and  First Mate. Captain Lucky is actually a selection from early generations of Black Magic.

Sold in a 3.5" pot.
